Part time evening jobs and cleaning jobs in the UK

One of the good things about the current recession/depression is that it unfortunately hurts some people, but some types of jobs are not impacted at all.  This is true for jobs like cleaning.  As long as a building isn’t completely closed, it still must be cleaned regularly.  After all in a recession people still make mess, people still use toilets, people probably make more mess than they would usually.

It’s a sad fact that there are some people now taking part time evening jobs and weekend cleaning jobs to pay back debt they have built up in 2001 to 2007.  Most people with little or no equity in their homes, and have a lot of debt should not bother with part time cleaning jobs or other evening  jobs, they should just default on all that debt, find a rented home, and let their homes get reposed. 
Birmingham is a good example of where people are trying to earn their way out of debt, and the situation is similar in London.  The reality is you should spend more time with your friends and family and less time working to pay of debt.
It’s well accepted that cleaning jobs and part time jobs in the evening are not very well paid, so people who are in debt have a long slog to pay back debt needlessly.
